ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF REFRIGERATION

INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF REFRIGERATION
The International Academy of Refrigeration (IAR) is a public organisation uniting leading scientists and specialists in the fields of refrigeration and cryogenic technology, air conditioning technology, food storage and processing technologies, food production machinery and units, ecology, economics, personnel training and retraining, management, finance, and other areas.
The International Academy of Refrigeration was registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation (Certificate No. 2725) on 22 May 1995 and is the successor to the Academy of Refrigeration established in Russia in June 1993.
The Academy's activities are carried out through national and regional branches. The IAR consists of the Russian and Ukrainian national branches, the Baltic International Branch, and twelve regional branches. Members of the International Academy of Refrigeration represent countries such as Germany, Italy, China, Poland, USA, Uzbekistan, France, Finland, Czech Republic, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Denmark, Switzerland, Korea, Algeria, India, Guinea, Jordan, and others.
The Academy has 1,846 members: 16 honorary academicians, 804 academicians, 805 corresponding members, and 205 academic advisors. Among them are a Nobel Prize winner and over 600 professors, doctors, and candidates of sciences. More than 400 organisations, including Russian and foreign firms and companies, research institutes, and universities, are collective members of the Academy.
Every year, at the end of April, the General Annual Meetings of the IAR are held, where, according to the Charter, individual and collective members of the Academy are elected and approved.
The official publication of the IAR is the "Bulletin of the International Academy of Refrigeration". By decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) of Russia, the journal is included in the "List of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals".
